Do you want to learn to dive? 

  • Do you want to experience the thrill of breathing under water or you are interested in becoming a scuba diver as a hobby.
  • Not sure if scuba diving is for you but dying to try it out?  Why not book a try dive then?  You don’t have to have any scuba diving experience and you don’t even have to be a strong swimmer!
  • A try dive is the perfect opportunity to try out scuba equipment for those considering diving whilst on holiday abroad or learning to dive in the UK.

  • The first time you breathe underwater is an experience to remember – and you will be surprised by just how much fun it is.

Why not arrange a Try-Dive!

Try scuba diving now for only £15 per person, £25 for two people or £10 per person in a group of 5 people or more.

  • We can cater for up to 10 people per session, so why not try diving with a friend or group.

  • A Try-Dive lets you experience the thrill of diving under the supervision of an experienced instructor 

  • A Try-Dive can help you save time and money by finding out in advance if you like diving It gives you the opportunity to try the exciting sport and to gain an insight into the fascinating world of Scuba.

Each try-dive is about an hour in duration, including poolside tuition on diving techniques and equipment. This is followed by a scuba dive in the pool with a BSAC qualified instructor to make sure you get maximum enjoyment from your first scuba dive in a swimming pool.

  • To try scuba diving there is no lower age limit for candidates, but obviously equipment must fit correctly and the young person must be able to cope with the weight and encumbrance. We Will organise try dives for Children aged 8 and above and have specialist equipment for small people.
  • If you are under 16 years old you will have to be accompanied by an adult, normally a parent or carer or group leader.
  • Our recommend age to start a SCUBA course is 12 and upwards.
  • All participants must fill in a try dive medical and liability disclaimer form and for those under 18, signed by a parent or legal guardian, before the session begins.
  • What happens next

    When you contact the New Members Officer the following things will happen:

    1. They will check your eligibility and discuss with you your diving requirements, whether you are new to diving or had previous experience, any holiday requirements etc.
    2. Arrange a date for your try dive with one of our qualified instructors.
    3. Meet and greet you at the pool on the evening of your try dive.
    4. You will be required to sign the disclaimer and medical consent form that we provide in your try dive pack.
    5. Our Kit Officer and Instructor will fit you with the necessary Scuba Diving Kit.
    6. Your Instructor will then brief you to explain what your try dive involves and all safety requirements.
    7. Now you are ready for your try dive! This will normally be 45 minutes in the pool.
    8. After your try dive you will have a debrief with your Instructor to discuss and explain exactly what you have just achieved.
    9. As a congratulations for your achievement you will get a try dive certificate with an introductory pack to the sport.
  • This can lead you on to further training to become a qualifed Ocean Diver.
