Why choose Us to teach you to dive?

Training divers for over 60 years. If you want to learn to scuba dive in or around Bradford you have come to the right place. Whether you are a newcomer to diving, a relatively inexperienced novice, qualified with another agency or just want to refresh your skills after a break – joining our club will help you develop your skills and gain new qualifications.

We run a range of diving courses in-house at the Bradford Sub Aqua Club, ranging from Ocean Diver (novice) through to Advanced Diver (not to be confused with PADI’s Advanced Open Water Diver). We also run specialist courses as demand and resources allow – often networking with other branches of BSAC to do so.

Being part of the largest diving club in the world also means we have access to a network of instructors and a range of courses both regionally and nationally. Who knows, one day you may become part of the select club of First Class Divers – a level of skill and qualification not found in other diving agencies.

Learn to Dive

Already a diver?

Great! We welcome new members who have already qualified as divers with other agencies, such as PADI or SSI. If you learnt to dive on holiday abroad, joining a club such as ours is a great way to progress your diving further and get into diving in the UK. Our club is a great place to meet new buddies and get the most out of your diving.

Just want to go diving?

That’s fine. BSAC recognises diving qualifications from most other agencies. After a check dive, you can just carry on diving with us up to the limits of your existing qualification.

We can organise you a refresher course to get you back up to speed. If you haven’t dived in the UK before we can do some extra training for you too, such as a dry suit course, and get you used to the different conditions.

Want to progress?

No problem! Your existing qualifications will be recognised, so you can start working towards the next equivalent BSAC grade. If you have an Open Water or Advanced Open Water qualification from PADI you can go straight into training to be a BSAC Sports Diver. And if you’re a PADI Rescue Diver you can begin the BSAC Dive Leader course. Check out the BSAC qualification equivalency chart.
