About Us

Who Are We

Bradford SAC Scuba Diving Club is an award-winning branch of the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC).  We are branch number 0044 and were formed in 1955 – a few years after the BSAC itself, making it one of the oldest diving clubs in the UK.

We are a non-profit making dive club, run by members for the members. with a proven reputation for training and diving in a fun, but safe environment.

We cater for all levels of divers, from trainees to Advanced Divers, for both single divers and divers with families. Our club is run entirely by volunteers. We train people to dive and snorkel but we also welcome qualified divers to join us (whoever they trained with). We organise regular diving trips to the North East coast, Wales and inland sites in the lake District.

The club has it's own Clubhouse in Queensbury, the use of 2 pools both 4m deep, We also have a large ammount of  equipment  that we can loan to memners of the club all of which help to make us a successful dive club which has been going for over 60 years.

We are a family friendly club with around 50 members. Or membership ages range from young children who snorkel to senior citizens that still dive or who are social members who help run the club.

We are always happy to welcome new members, keen to learn or try scuba, experienced divers or instructors – no matter who they have trained with. You will be made very welcome, so please enquire about joining Bradford SAC.
