Diving from Holyhead

Hi All

Today (17/04/22) a few members of our club had a great day with the RIB out of Holyhead visiting the Skerries and south Stack whilst we hoped to get a dive the poor visibility spoilt this so we used the day to give David Baxendall the opportunity to go out in the club RIB to see how it can perform and to get behind the wheel and give it a go. Sea conditions were great and we were spoilt with lovely sunshine and relatively low winds Dave got the opportunity to drive the boat on the plane and practise man overboard drills in difficult sea conditions around the South Stack, figure eight turns and finally bring the boat back into the harbour following all the regulations.

As you can see from the photo, smiles all round.

We hope to organise more days like this throughout year and we will circulate dates for you to put in your diaries

Diving Little cumbrae

December11th 12th 13th and 14th A trip To Largs With members from Barnsley Sub Aqua Club Another great weekend diving adventure at Little Cumbrae is completed. Thanks goes to Barnsley SAC for supporting us and showing us where to dive.

Our First dive on Saturday was a good scenic dive next to Little Cumbrae with members of Barnsley SAC the crossing from Largs yacht haven was very lumpy and wet but we had some great company from Barnsley SAC showing us the best site taking account of the poor weather.

Due to the worsening weather and a very bouncy trip back from Little Cumbrae. we decided not to go out again.

12th December the weather had improved significantly so we decided to dive a wreck at the rear of little cumbrae the Lady Isbella this was a good dive with lots to see.

A big thanks to all  at Barnsley for a great weekend.
